Using this quilt in an allergy-aware bedroom

No standard quilt is designed or tested for dust mite allergy management. Studies show that a comprehensive approach combining encasements, regular washing, humidity control and air purification is significantly more effective than any single measure alone (van Boven et al., 2024; Gøtzsche & Johansen, 2008).

For best results in an allergy-aware bedroom:

• Dust mite covers — physical barriers for your quilt, mattress and pillows
• A dehumidifier — keeping humidity below 50% limits dust mite survival
• An air purifier — reduces airborne allergen particles
• Allergen cleaning products — for surfaces that can't be washed frequently
